Hi, I'm Colin Brocket.
Thanks for visiting.
Have a browse around
and please don't hesitate to call or email me if there is anything can help with.
I live in Loburn, New
Zealand, am married with four children and have nine grandchildren. However
I'm not as old as that makes
me sound. At only 52, I think I am a young granddad.
I have a varied background but have been involved in the people care area
for many years and conducted my first wedding in 1990. Weddings can be and
should be fun.
The shortest wedding I have conducted was 7 minutes, the longest about an
hour in venues such as large traditional Anglican churches, small country
churches, farm stables, beautiful gardens, outdoor auditorium in the USA and
the beautiful Millbrook Resort in Queenstown. We have had gangster style participation with imitation guns, soloists, loud
music, soft music, a dog as the ring bearer, whoopee cushions to catch the
bride and groom out when they kneel down, vintage cars, an old bus, balloons
and lots of other things as well. I guess what I am trying to say is that
other than maintaining a normal sense of decency, almost anything goes.
Be
creative, be bold or simply maintain a sense of tradition, it's totally up
to you. It makes no difference where it takes place or the form it takes,
your wedding should be what you want.
Wedding are great places for family involvement to. Through readings,
musical items etc, if either partner already has children then this is a
great time for them to be involved as well.
I conduct both Christian and
non-religious weddings and work with you to formulate the structure of the
ceremony. It all depends on what you want, as it is your day and
should reflect you as a couple. A stress free preparation for you and a
stress free ceremony on the day, that it is the goal.
I hope to hear from you if you plan to marry in the Christchurch area. As I
said earlier, I am happy to speak with you and answer any queries.
Regards
Colin Brocket.
